AP Chemistry

The AP Chemistry exam covers the majority of introductory chemistry concepts, with the exception of organic chemistry. Students who take the exam are usually interested in studying chemical and physical sciences in university or looking to earn college credit for science prerequisites. While the College Board recommends that students pass standard high school chemistry courses and Algebra II before taking the class, these prerequisites are not universally required and vary from school to school. Students taking the exam can expect to see concepts like chemical equilibrium, atomic theory, reaction kinetics, and more.

Mastering the AP Chemistry course requires a strong comprehension of basic chemistry as well as more advanced concepts. Because many of these concepts build on top of each other, students struggling with the material will require personalized attention that helps them grasp the most fundamental principles. HYE Tutors’ AP Chemistry prep course covers the full year’s curriculum, and the types of questions students can expect to see on exam day. The four main pillars include chemical reactions, the states of matter, structures of matter, and both laboratory & chemical calculations. Our staff includes expert AP Chemistry tutors, helping to prepare students for the in-depth lab-based questions they are required to answer.

Students in the Los Angeles area and remote regions can take advantage of HYE Tutors’ AP Chemistry curriculum to pass the year’s course with ease. Our team can help you grasp your material either in-person, at our Los Angeles office, or remotely on Zoom. Call us today to discuss what aspects of entry-level mathematics your student is struggling with, and our team can place them with an educator who will give them the tools they need for future success.
