The GRE is a computer-based exam that consists of six sections. These sections include analytical writing, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and a research or experimental section. It should be noted that the experimental section does not affect one’s overall score. Students can expect to cover geometry, arithmetic, and algebra while preparing for the exam.
